Student Council Conference & Walk In My Shoes 2024 -Cork City
We are delighted to open registration for the Edmund Rice Student Council Conference & Walk In My Shoes 2024 which this year will be held in Cork City on April 23rd from 11am-2.30pm.
This conference is our first face-to-face Student Council Conference & Walk In My Shoes since Covid and we really hope that you can travel to meet in person.
Registration
Registration is now open for Student Councils (primary and secondary) and accompanying teachers to attend .
Registration will close on Tuesday 16th April at 2pm.
Registration is first-come first-served and we invite you to register and pay using this form. Capacity is limited but may change so a waiting list will be set up.

At this stage, schools can register up to 5 students to attend. Hot lunch will be provided for all and the cost per student for the event is €25.
Theme
The theme is ‘Unity’, which was proposed by students in St Vincent’s Secondary, Glasnevin as the theme of last year’s very successful EREBB Congress- Student Strand
Delegates will get the opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of the Edmund Rice Community.
They will have the opportunity to speak and hear the voices of young people in Irish Edmund Rice Schools in advance of the European and local elections.
Students will discuss what is important and needed in their communities and a document will be produced to represent the shared hopes from this gathering.
There will be presentations from primary and secondary school students and one will speak about what it is like to ‘Walk in my Shoes’.
Arriving
The venue Blarney Street CBS, Cork City is a 25 minute walk (1.9km) from the train station so travel by train is a cheap , convenient and sustainable way to travel.
